Septic tanks and home sewage systems
EM works a treat in septic tanks and more sophisticated home sewage
systems,
These systems are affected by bleaches and anti bacterial cleaning
products, which upset the resident population of microbes. EM can be
used to remedy poor function, and restore populations of beneficial
microbes to the systems.
EM is very effective at controlling odours from these systems.
Use activated EM on a regular basis, particuarly after cleaning out, EM can be dosed into the toilet.
The amount required depends on the size of the system and volume of waste treated.
Dose rates are usually between 1:1000 and 1:10,000, of the capacity of the system.
Between 200ml and 1 litre of activated EM (EM-A) on weekly dose for
home systems will provide efficient functon and odour control...however
